[Ontology Governance Vote]
A new governance vote has been initiated by an Ontology candidate node on the Ontology Blockchain. All Triones node can vote on OWallet before August 2, 2020 (UTC) to decide if the proposal will be accepted.
Vote Details
- Name: Incentive Distribution Rate Adjustment
- Current status:
At present, each Ontology node can only set one user reward distribution rate. All incentive from the tokens staked with the node will be distributed to users at a pre-determined rate. A rate too high may impact the income of the node, while a rate too low may discourage users from staking with that specific node.
- Proposal:
Two distribution rates can be set to solve the problem, with “a” being the incentive distribution rate of initial staking and “b” the incentive distribution rate of user staking. The nodes can set a and b at their discretion. For instance, when a is 0.8 and b is 0, the nodes keep 80% of the incentive from initial staking and the rest 20% will be distributed to the staked users. Meanwhile, rewards from user staking wouldn’t be retained at the nodes. All the rewards from user staking would be distributed to users.
Vote to participate in the Ontology governance. Each vote will be deciding whether the proposal will be accepted and implemented. Your vote can make a difference!
